Premier Orlando’s International Beauty Event
The event welcomed people from all corners of the beauty industry and featured something of interest for everyone that attended. Professionals had access to the hottest hair color trends and cutting techniques, high fashion nail art, edgy barber designs, in-demand day spa procedures, and plenty more! Premier Orlando encourages licensed professionals to network and connect with manufacturers and distributors in every area such as hair, nail, and skincare. Plus, they incorporate spirited competitions and inspiring education from the best beauty experts and top exhibiting companies, including ShearShare’s CEO, Dr. Tye Caldwell!

Dr. Tye’s Class is in Session
Premier Orlando tapped Dr. Tye to teach a class that inspires professionals to further their skills. He conducted two classes for eager professionals looking to learn information about the future of work. Dr. Tye kicked off his classes by asking attendees what their ‘why’ is. He went on to explain that the ‘why’ is what will help professionals stay connected to their original decision to enter the beauty industry when times get tough. “It’s important to remind yourself why you chose to be in the beauty industry in the first place,” he said to his classes.
His presentation on the future of work included insight into how the pandemic has shifted the beauty industry, as well as what professionals can expect from the impending recession. He explained that 71% of salon and barbershop owners expect to recover from the “Great Recession” within a year, then gave tips to help professionals continue to scale their businesses, despite inflation. According to Dr. Tye, 63% of professionals expect to grow their small business revenues by at least 25% in the next 3-5 years – but he emphasized that it can’t be done without a strategy!
“What is your biggest pain point when it comes to your business?”, was another question Dr. Tye asked the professionals during his classes. The most popular response? “Networking with like-minded people” – a common issue among beauty professionals. ShearShare Hosts Intimate Gathering with Orlando Hosts
ShearShare had the chance to host an intimate dinner with a select few of our Hosts and it was the highlight of our time in Orlando! Our Hosts wined and dined as they got to know ShearShare and other community members. Among the topics discussed during dinner were:
- Having time to focus on their mental health
- Wanting more networking opportunities
- How they should go about planning for retirement
- How best to scale their business without becoming overworked
We thoroughly enjoyed the time with our Hosts and were glad to have the chance to connect them with other community members to share insight and information. We can’t wait to host more dinners with other community members around the country!
