Happy Black Business Month! August is a time to recognize, encourage, and celebrate the Black-owned businesses in our community and across the nation. Here are a few Did-You-Knows to rattle off at your next networking event:
- Black business owners account for 30% of all minority-owned businesses
- New York has the most Black-owned businesses in the U.S., followed by Atlanta
- Black Business Month became official in August 2004
- The highest ratio of Black-owned businesses is in Washington, DC, where 28% of all businesses are Black-owned
