Community Manager

ShearShare is the #1 app for salon and barbershop space rental. We currently have the largest database of on-demand salon and barbershop space rentals and the most affordable leases in the market.

Founded by Dr. Tye and Courtney Caldwell, ShearShare is a passion-driven organization that has rapidly grown to 625+ cities and is used by thousands of stylists worldwide. We are passionate about small businesses in our industry.


Now experiencing our most rapid growth to date, the company needs a Community Manager. We’re looking for an impassioned communicator to join us to create a stronger sense of belonging for the ShearShare community. As we continue to expand, you will completely own your role as an individual contributor and be empowered to make impactful decisions.

Specifically, you will:

  • Manage and engage with the organization’s online community in a way that builds brand awareness

  • Work cross functionally with internal team members to understand business objectives in order to communicate effectively with ShearSharers

  • Manage all online events

  • Collaborate with team members to tell the story of ShearShare and our impact to local economies through video, social, and events

  • Create, manage, and oversee a ShearShare Customer Advisory Board to partner closely with our ShearShare community so that we continue building the best solutions for their day-to-day challenges

  • Work with social media coordinator to generate social content that drives communications

  • Own growth marketing budget and insights

  • Manage metrics reporting and provide tactical suggestions to drive towards marketing KPI goals

  • Launch an online community for beauty and barbering industry professionals with measured engagement

  • Create virtual weekly events with industry leaders, opportunities to connect with our ShearShare community, and cultivate stylist/host advocacy

  • Grow weekly audience list through targeted communications and A/B testing, utilizing brand’s top-of-funnel channels


  • Bachelors in Marketing OR related experience as an entrepreneur
  • 2+ years in marketing or related experience
  • Experience building online communities (social, forums, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Hubspot and WordPress
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to evaluate and implement new marketing programs based on industry best practices
  • Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Great analytics and organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Have a genuine interest in the beauty and barbering industry


  • 1+ year’s experience with Hubspot and WordPress
  • Experience working with external partners on various projects
  • An uber-positive mindset and hard work ethic
