Here are some examples of what the ShearShare Protection Program may cover:

  • A client breaks their wrist after slipping on the back bar mat and brings a claim for the injury against the stylist.
  • A nail client experiences an injury from the drill the stylist uses during an acrylic service. The client brings a claim for the injury against the stylist.
  • A stylist is servicing clients at a salon station. The station shelf breaks and the client is injured when it detaches from the wall. The client brings a claim for the injury against the stylist.
  • A color client slips on unswept hair during her hair service with you as the stylist and brings a claim for the injury against the stylist.
  • A stylist accidentally drops their clipper bag on a third party’s foot in the salon lobby. The third party brings a claim for the injury against the stylist.

Some examples of what the ShearShare Protection Program doesn’t cover:

  • Intentional acts where liability isn’t the result of an accident
  • Accusations of slander or defamation of character
  • Property issues (ex: mold, fungi, asbestos, lead, pollution)
  • Auto accidents (ex: vehicle collisions)

 

It couldn’t be easier, or faster. The ShearShare Protection Program offers barber and hair salon booth rental insurance that lets you pay for what you need on the days you actually need it! Each certificate will be emailed to you and a copy available for download on your confirmed reservation details page inside the ShearShare App. Insurance is underwritten by Lloyd’s of London through the HeyAlpaca platform.

FOR SHEARSHARE HOSTS

The ShearShare Protection Program provides liability coverage for up to $1,000,000 per occurrence in the event of a third-party claim of bodily injury or property damage related to a ShearShare stay.

This coverage is subject to an overall aggregate cap, and certain conditions, limitations, and exclusions may apply. See our FAQ page for commonly asked questions.
