About the Host: 

Emily was born in 1974 in Brooklyn, New York. She is a married mother of four and is part of the third generation of hairdressers in her family. In 1991, she completed her barber’s program in a technical high school. From there, she gained experience in the industry by following her dad through his barbershop, Lucky’s Barbershop in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. He inspired her and gave her, her first chair when she was 17 years old. At the age of 23, she decided to join the cosmetology program at La Reine in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and graduated in 1996. She relocated from the small island of Puerto Rico to the state of Pennsylvania, where she decided to pursue her barber and cosmetology instructor’s license in order to expand her career. Right after she graduated in 2006, she began teaching and sharing her passion with new upcoming barbers and hairdressers. She looks forward to hosting you during your ShearShare stay!
