About the Salon

This salon offers the best of both worlds in the beauty racket: the salon is hip yet comfortable, and the stylists have impeccable taste while remaining friendly, fun, and approachable. Established in 2000, the salon was founded on the premise that happy stylists equal happy clients. It's a paradigm that has paid off, resulting in a creative team dedicated to the art of beauty, and a clientele largely based on repeat business and referrals. Services include cut and styling, color and processing, waxing, and makeup artistry. BONUS: There is a dedicated parking lot for salon patrons!

About the Neighborhood:

Located in central historic Hyde Park--a neighborhood full of fun restaurants and wine bars. The salon is conveniently located in a central, urban strip but still feels like a neighborhood business, and is close to the University in Texas, which brings in a diverse clientele. Walk around the neighborhood and enjoy the beautiful landscaping and architecture. Vino,Vino, Mother’s Cafe, and Julio’s Cafe are just a few of the options for a sit down meal;  Domino’s, Jack in the Box, Chipotle and more are nearby for a quick bite. You’ll find plenty of Starbucks, Houndstooth Coffee, and Cafe Medici to grab a coffee or snack. Public transit is accessible.

About the Host:

Host Melissa began managing the salon in 2003 and has owned the salon since 2010. She loves the salon industry, working to provide a creative, upbeat environment that is markedly 'Austin.' Her commitment to art, professionalism, and customer satisfaction has earned the salon the “Best Salon” award by the Austin Chronicle.
